March 15th is a date of special significance at our house. In addition to that date being someone's birthday, it is also the date on which the Eastern Phoebe returns to our woods.  This bird holds a special place in our hearts because it has chosen to nest on the backside of our house, just under the eaves, for almost as long as the house has been in place.  It is one of the earliest nesting migrants to arrive in our woods, and its presence is a sure sign of spring.

We welcome you to Phoebe Hollow.
